Create a video promoting summer reading in South Carolina libraries and you could win a prize!
The South Carolina State Library and the Collaborative Summer Library Program (CSLP) want to encourage you to develop your video skills, have fun, and encourage other South Carolina teens to use their library all summer long.
Video Submission Criteria:
All videos must:
• Be 30 to 90 seconds.
• Promote the idea of using public libraries and reading.
• Include your interpretation of the 2017 CSLP teen slogan “Build a Better World.”
• Be designed for use at any library.
• Be appropriate for viewing by audiences of all ages.
Videos will be judged by South Carolina judges using the following criteria:
The Collaborative Summer Library Program (CSLP) is a grassroots consortium of states and member affiliates working together to provide high-quality summer reading program materials for public libraries. http://www.cslpreads.org.
The “Build a Better World” Teen Video Contest for South Carolina is open only to legal South Carolina residents aged 13-18. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Contest Rules. Each participant or group may submit one video per entry. Each entry must include a signed model release form(s). All submissions must be received by March 1, 2017. Late entries will not be accepted. A DVD of the video will be requested from all winners.
All audio and artwork must be created by the entrant or be in the public domain and must be specified as such on the entry form. CSLP (and all CSLP member affiliates) have permission to use the “2017 Teen Video Challenge” submissions, including all work created and all intellectual property embodied therein, as per the Contest Release form.
CSLP will review all state winners during April 2017. In the spring of 2017, CSLP will award each CSLP approved State Teen Video Challenge Winner a certificate. Their Local Public Library will receive prizes worth at least $50 from CSLP and Upstart.
